A day off work today and I started off at Penmon, a good fall of wheatears by the little pond and then a text saying Ken had found a green winged teal in the flooded fields at South Stack. I headed off there and found the teal in the flooded fields on the approach road.

Not the best of pictures sorry.

I then went on to South Stack and enjoyed great views of stonechat,  chough and wheatear.  Nearby a sitting peregrine.

On the way back to my car a white stork appeared over the mountain top and headed towards Holyhead and was later seen over Beddmanarch bay.  I am assuming it was the same bird that was spotted over Caernarfon airport earlier in the day.
